Artist's Comments

This was a painting for and illustration class. The assignment was to create an animal pun, I chose the emperor penguin and made it an emperor. I refrenced Hans Memling for the design and figures, other then that some of its just created while painting. As for the process I was using straight painting with oils, then glazed over it. If anyone has any suggestions on glazing media for oils other then liquin I would be happy to know of them :)

Yeah, Eyke's cool. He poinered the glazing medium, you should try to find his formula. I think that it's in one of my books at school, when I get back there I'll relay it to you.
